LOST & CONFUSED Why does it seem life gets harder and things we once enjoyed no longer have that spark? We take each day for what it is instead of what it could be. We drift apart from those we once loved such as friends and family because of the circle of life that sweeps us away. As we watch our city we once love becomes more congested with people and cars and our patience becomes short with anger as we forget who we really are. People are no longer judge by being themselves but instead we are judge on looks, education and how much money is in our bank account. When did material items matter so much that it made it what you are. When was the last time you sat down and watched the sun rise from your window or better yet watched from the beach. When was the last time you shed tears just because. We get caught up in trying to live the California dream that we don’t know what we have become. They say by smiling everyday will eventually make you happy but how can you be happy when your heart is corrupted. How can I watch and enjoy the sun as it rises then sinks into the deep sea when life has lost all of it's beauty. Because I have been sweeped away my tears will not shed, no smiles for joy and my visions will only get darker as I become lost and confused. My dreams have become my only sense of reality, peace and love as I chase my dreams and making it a reality by sleeping each night.
